Wilton Gum Paste & Fondant #1 & 2

My brand new toolkit & lesson plan for Wilton gum paste and fondant course. Wheee.

[LEFT] I’m not a pizza dough! I’m a piece of gum paste.
[RIGHT] The gum paste was cut into multiple neat strips using the pizza cutter then assembled into a pretty bow.

[LEFT] I’m not a xiao long bao skin! I’m one of the petals for the carnation. 🙂
[RIGHT] WOW. This is my favourite creation in lesson 2 but making the 6-7 layers of ruffled petals took alot of time.

My bouquet of flowers (All using gum paste) – Rose, Calla lily & Carnation.

Overall, I really enjoyed my gum paste and fondant lessons. It’s like playing with modeling clay (or play-doh) to create incredible (and edible) stand-up decorations!

I will make my favourite little blue box for the finale cake. Let’s see how it turns out. 🙂
