Marks and Spencer (M&S) Simple Food is a convenient option for a pre-packed meal in London. I tried a few boxes of these quick meals throughout my stay and all of them tasted more than decent. My favourite is the Singapore noodles – No surprises here. 🙂
The description on the box – Fine rice noodle with tender chicken, pork, free range egg and prawns in a spicy coconut curry sauce.
My description in the Singapore context – “Char bee hoon with curry chap”. 😛 I’m not sure why this is named THE Singapore noodles (That should be Hokkien mee in my opinion!) but the taste grew on me. It’s so addictive that I ate it several times in my stay!
I also love the rich, buttery croissants in M&S. The dough is made in France using French flour then baked daily in the store. I will definitely keep a look out for these 2 items in M&S Singapore when I return. 🙂
