Marks and Spencer (M&S) Simple Food is a convenient option for a pre-packed meal in London. I tried a few boxes of these quick meals throughout my stay and all of them tasted more than decent. My favourite is the Singapore noodles – No surprises here.
The description on the box - Fine rice noodle with tender chicken, pork, free range egg and prawns in a spicy coconut curry sauce.
My description in the Singapore context - “Char bee hoon with curry chap”. I’m not sure why this is named THE Singapore noodles (That should be Hokkien mee in my opinion!) but the taste grew on me. It’s so addictive that I ate it several times in my stay!
I also love the rich, buttery croissants in M&S. The dough is made in France using French flour then baked daily in the store. I will definitely keep a look out for these 2 items in M&S Singapore when I return.
