Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine is a great find in the posh Marina Bay Sands. They provide diners a wide variety of options from mid-priced dim sum/Chinese food to extravagant set menus. The restaurant actually served a $12,888 set menu during Chinese New Year (probably targeting the high rollers in the Casino)!
Yes, the latest visit to Imperial was to satisfy our baked BBQ buns craving. My friends and I were still not ready to battle Tim Ho Wan’s queue. Imperial’s rendition of this dim sum was very satisfying. Although the bun lacks the “melt-in-the-mouth” factor (unlike THW’s), the char siew filling was comparable.
The other items that I would strongly recommend are the pan-fried carrot cake and my favourite super peking duck.
The restaurant is located near Waku Ghin (2nd level of the casino). This area is probably the only place where you can peek into the casino without paying the entrance fee. Another reason to give Imperial a try.
